About me

I live in San Francisco with my wife, and we raised two kids here, who frequently return.

By day I’m a technologist. I’ve been in the industry for thirty years after acquiring my engineering degrees.

I love fiction, generally finding it more helpful in understanding this world than nonfiction. When I moved to San Francisco in the 1990s I self-published Anon and other Whims, and a kind soul at City Lights Bookstore let me put it on the shelf.

Given my career, my authoring efforts lapsed, but over the last couple years I completed my first novel, Gangs of San Francisco.
